Welcome to my web site. Since 2007 I’ve been living in France in the Loire-Atlantique department (44), just south of Brittany on the west coast.

Of the many passions in my life birds have been, by far, the one that occupies most of my time and energies. Since childhood I’ve been watching, studying and drawing birds and for the past 25 plus years they have also provided me with a career: I’ve worked on their conservation, carried out many surveys, been involved in ringing and sound-recording, and travelled to foreign lands to see them. What a dull place this world would be without birds !

All types of art, music, travel, nature in general, books; these are the other things in life that I enjoy the most. I like to keep myself occupied with anything creative but I have a diverse range of interests really.
